TPI CE-16-DS Review: TPI Shutter Mounted Exhaust Fans. I have the 18" model. It ran 12 hours a day for 6 months then suddenly stopped. I turned the fan blade by hand and noticed it would hardly budge. I took the motor apart and the sleeve bearings on either end were almost dry. I packed some grease into those bearings and reassembled the motor and it is now working, but I don't think my fix will last long.When I first got the unit, I noticed that spinning the fan blade by hand was more difficult than I expected. ...
